The physicians at Sports Orthopedics & Spine wish all athletes an injury free season, but realize that injuries do occur on the playing field. Sports Orthopedics & Spine Educational Foundation will provide to Jackson and the West Tennessee communities a free Injury Clinic during the football season. All injured athletes have access to the clinic every Saturday from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., starting August 26, 2006 and running through October 28, 2006. The service is offered to everyone regardless of their ability to pay and the only cost to the athletes is for x-rays. The Injury Clinic is held at 569 Skyline Dr, Suite 100, Jackson, TN 38301. The Clinic has been marketed to high school coaches in Jackson and in the surrounding counties. It will also be advertised on several radio stations and publications. For all athletic programs a physical is required in order to participate, at a cost of $150.00. The Sports Orthopedics & Spine Education Foundation will offer free physicals to the college athletes and those associated with their college programs (i.e., summer camp programs).
